I speak wisdom, I speak what is true.
Please protect me, protect the one who utters Your name, protect the one who hears Your name,
The one who gives, the one who receives, the master and the disciple.
Protect me from behind [West], from the front [East], from the left [North],
From the right [South], from above and from below.
Please protect me from all directions, protect me continuously.
You are the spoken and literary word, You are consciuousness.
You are bliss, You are complete Brahman.
You are absolute truth, awareness and bliss,
You are the manifest Brahman,
You are the knowledge of the sciences and of the highest truth.
All this universe originates from You.
All of creation exists because of You.
All of creation dissolves into You.
All of creation returns to You.
You are earth, water, fire, air and ether [five elements].
You are the four parts of speech.
You are beyond the three gunas [sattwa, rajas, tamas]. You are beyond the gross, subtle and causal
bodies.
You are beyond the three times [past, present and future]. You always reside at the Muladhara chakra.
The three shakti powers are within You (Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, Mahakali). Yogis constantly meditate upon You.
You are Brahma, You are Vishnu, You are Shiva, You are Indra,
You are fire, You are the wind, You are the sun, You are the moon,
You are the Supreme Spirit that pervades the Earth, Heaven and Aumkara.
First utter the first letter of Gana (G), followed by the first letter of the alphabet (A),
And finally the nasal sound (M). The letter ‘G’ is crowned by the dotted half-moon symbol (as in
Aum) and sounded on a high note.
This is the true form of Your mantra. The sound ‘G’ is the first form,
The vowel ‘A’ is the middle form,
And the nasal sound ‘M’ is the last form, ending with the dot of the nasal sound on top.
These combined sounds follow the grammatical rules known as Sandhi.
This is the knowledge of Shri Ganesha. Sage Ganaka is the author [seer].
The metre is mixed Gayatri, Ganapati is the deity.
Amen, Gam, obeisance to Ganapati.
We know the god with one tusk. We meditate upon the god with the curled-up trunk.
May the god with one tusk enlighten us.
You have one tusk and four hands. Wielding a noose and elphant goad,
You hold a broken tusk and give blessing.
A mouse is Your emblem. You are red in complexion, You have a large belly,
And ears like winnowing fans. You wear red clothes.
Fragrant red sandalwood paste anoints Your body. You are auspiciously worshipped with red
flowers.
You are ever-compassionate to Your devotees. You are the imperishable origin of the world.
You manifest before creation, You are beyond the supreme Prakriti (creative energy of Shri Adi
Shakti) and Purusha (primordial Spirit of Shri Sadashiva).
In this way, the one who constantly meditates upon You is the greatest of yogis.
Obeisance to the Lord of the Vrata [Shri Shiva’s Ganas], Obeisance to Ganapati.
Obeisance to the Lord of the Pramatha (Shri Shiva’s Ganas).
Obeisance to the big-bellied one with one tusk.
The destroyer of obstacles, the son of Shri Shiva, the embodiment of the giver of prosperity and boons, we bow to You.

Du bist Erde, Wasser, Feuer, Luft und Äther[, die fünf Elemente].
Du entsprichst den vier Bestandteilen der Sprache.
Du stehst jenseits der drei Gunas [Sattwa, Rajas, Tamas] und jenseits der grob- und feinstofflichen und der ursächlichen Körper.
Du bist jenseits der drei Zeiten [Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft] und residierst immer im Muladhara Chakra.
In Dir befinden sich die drei Kräfte der Shakti[, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati und Mahakali]. Yogis meditieren unentwegt über Dich.
Du bist Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva und Indra.
Du bist Agni [Feuer], Vāyus [Wind], Sūryas [Sonne] und Chandramās [Mond].
Du bist der Höchste Geist, der die Erde, den Himmel und das Omkara durchdringt.
Zu Beginn sprechen wir den ersten Buchstaben von Gana (G), gefolgt vom ersten Buchstaben des Alphabets (A)
und zuletzt den nasalen Laut (M). Der Buchstabe "G" wird [wie im Omkara] vom gepunkteten Symbol des Halbmonds gekrönt und sollte als hoher Ton erklingen.
Das ist die wahre Form Deines Mantras: Der Laut "G" ist die erste Form,
Der Vokal "A" die mittlere
Und das nasale "M" die letzte, die mit dem Punkt des Nasallauts darüber endet.
Diese kombinierten Laute folgen den als Sandhi bekannten grammatischen Regeln.
Das ist das Wissen Shri Ganeshas und der Weise Ganaka ist der Autor [Seher].
Das Vermaß ist gemischtes Gayatri und Ganapati die Gottheit.

Du hast einen Stoßzahn und vier Arme. Mit der oberen rechten Hand schwingst Du die Schlinge und der oberen linken den Elefantenhaken.
Du hälts einen abgebrochenen Stoßzahn und spendest Segen.
Eine Maus ist Dein Wappen. Du hast rote Haut und einen großen Bauch.
Deine Ohren gleichen einer Windfege und Du trägst rote Kleidung.
Duftend rotes Sandelholz salbt Deinen Körper und Du wirst feierlich mit roten Blumen verehrt.
Deinen Anhängern gegenüber bist Du immer voller Mitgefühl und ebenso der unvergängliche Ursprung dieser Welt.
Du manifestiert Dich vor der Schöpfung und bist jenseits von Prakriti und Purusha [, der höchsten kreativen Kraft, der Shri Adi Shakti, und des Urgeistes von Shri Sadashiva].
So ist der Yogi der größte, der stetig über Dich meditiert.
Verehrung dem Herrn der Vratas [Shri Shivas Ganas], Verehrung Dir Ganapati.
